The Roundup was printed and distributed from the same print shop nestled in the corn and soybean fields of northwestern Iowa since at least 1958. Clark went up there and brought back a large quantity of them in order to make them available to anyone who wishes to obtain some. They are a treasure trove of CBI history, and as they have sat in the basement of the print shop in some cases for over 30 years, they are still in pristine condition. Additionally, over the years, individuals have donated their sets to us, resulting in many duplicates. These are often, however, not pristine as some have been stored in basements or attics. While readable, some do have that "basement" smell. We STRONGLY urge you to contact us regarding specific issues you are interested in before sending money to us as there are no guarantees that the issues you request will be available. It is best to check with us first so that we can best serve your request. All proceeds from these back issues will be dedicated to keeping this website up and running for, hopefully, decades to come. Deal 1: 40 back issues for $35, plus $5 for a Priority Mail envelope. That's a buck each, shipping included. Deal 2: 100 back issues for $70, plus $11 for a medium sized USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Box. That's .81 cents an issue, shipping included. Deal 3: 200 back issues for $120, plus $15 for the large sized USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Box. That works out to 67.5 cents per issue, shipping included. Deal 4: A certain quantity of these will be set aside to be donated to deserving historical institutions around the country. If you would like to nominate a particular museum or library within your geographical area or some institution you are involved with or have ties to, please email , and we can discuss the possibility. If your nomination is accepted, send the $15 for mailing, and your institution will get a complimentary set of what is available. Requests for lots smaller than 40 issues will be honored, but costs will vary depending on the number issues requested as shipping costs may not be fixed as they are when using the USPS flat rate boxes. We have seen individual back issues of the Roundup on eBay from anywhere from a buck up to $4.95 each, plus shipping. Check out Amazon.com also. There are people on there wanting up to $10 per issue (!). Right, good luck with that. Our purpose here is to obtain enough funding to keep this website running for the rest of our lives, at least. There's a good quantity of them at present, but obviously, it's a first come, first served situation, and when they are gone, you will be once again at the mercy of the eBay's and Amazon's of the world. So if you are interested in these extremely affordable back issues, it's a better sooner than later situation. If you have questions about ordering back issues, please contact with your questions. Please mail orders, with payment via Money Order, to:
Gary Goldblatt I will also accept payment via PayPal. Remember, proceeds go to support this website. Thanks for your interest in our project. Our efforts are designed to fill the gap that the magazine has left after it unfortunately had to cease publication. But we feel that by taking the "Roundup" online, we will be able to continue the China-Burma-India Theater of Operation's awesome legacy. |
